RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Our collective Research and Development Centers have largely divergent purposes. However, the common goal is identical: to develop innovative technologies that touch the daunting reality of the world. To develop disruptive capabilities from those technologies, allowing technology to connect people and purpose.
CENTERS FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT Our focus is on “Applied” Research & Development (R&D), where we rapidly develop innovative technologies for real world use ranging from a few weeks to 24 months. We have a greatly expanding Patent and Intellectual Property portfolio which is driven by our Internal Research & Development (IR&D) programs and initiatives. The core of our R&D concentration is on five distinct areas: Advanced Computing, Cyber Technologies, High Performance Computing, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR), and Unmanned Aircraft Systems. To create additional synergy between advances in multiple technology areas, we apply “force convergence” methodologies to gain unique and novel technologies and capabilities. A recent example is the force convergence of Software Defined Radios, Autonomous Systems, and Missions Generation on Unmanned Aircraft Systems. We have achieved recent breakthroughs in advanced cloud security technologies. These breakthroughs ensure persistent and vigorous security architectures and solutions for private, public, hybrid, cloud server protections, virtualization counter-exploitation, and cloud application security hardening. HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTING CENTER The High Performance Computing Center is dedicated to advancing the state-of-the-art in high performance computing for cyber missions. Currently, we are developing rapid low cost distributed architectures which can be autonomously inflated or collapsed based upon computing necessity. Services performed in this Center include: Cyber Battle Damage Assessment Cyber ISR Data Correlation & Analysis Target Probability Mapping ADVANCED COMPUTING ENGINEERING CENTER The Advanced Computing & Communications Center is dedicated to advanced computing and communications technologies. Current programs include the development of large-scale security technologies and the convergence of innovative emerging technologies with mature commercial technologies for new computing capabilities. Services include: Software Defined Radios (SDR) Software Defined Networks (SDN) Advanced Cloud Technologies Technology Security Technologies CYBER TECHNOLOGY ENGINEERING CENTER The Cyber Technology Engineering Center performs R&D on next-generation cyber technologies. Additionally, the Center conducts rapid technology development and insertion into emerging cyber solutions where specific gaps have been identified and technology remediation is essential. Services include: Advanced Cyber Capabilities Cyber Countermeasures and Defeat Systems UNMANNED AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS (UAS) CENTER The UAS Center is our newest Center. It is immersed in developing technologies for Unmanned Aircraft Systems for both Commercial and Government use. Currently, we are embarked on developing new technologies to increase system safety and risk exposures. This includes current UAS technology gaps. Technology exploitation research is conducted on existing UAS systems to identify and remediate vulnerabilities. Services include: Collision Avoidance & Detection Automated Flight Controls Autonomous Systems and Missions Generation Long Range & Heavy Lift UAS Systems INTELLIGENCE, SURVEILLANCE & RECONNAISSANCE (ISR) CENTER Our ISR Center is responsible for developing novel technologies for several distinct customer areas. Current work is focused on Digital, Internet, UAS, and distributed multi-platform ISR systems and technologies. Services include: ISR Capabilities Engineering
